Hi bloggers and today I am blogging my story of a morphed animal. The animal was a cross between the anteater and a polar bear, I had to plan some details first before writing my story right at the bottom here.

My lockdown holiday

Hi bloggers and during the lockdown holidays, I have done some activities during the holidays.

The thing I have been mostly doing is building a marble race track. Not only have I been making a marble race track, it's a race and there are 3 marbles, blue, red and green, the race is quite intense. I have also been making a new mission of the most accurate paper plane with the most distance. I also have been going to the beach, I remembered I got a cone snail shell about 6-7 centimeters long but I couldn't find it now, anyway that was what I did in the holidays.

Our reading DLO

Hi bloggers and we have been doing our reading DLO about the ancient Olympic games a long time ago.

First we had to do our DLO in a table and then we had to make a DLO on book creator or even an animation about it. I chose to do my DLO on book creator and I created a book about the ancient Olympic games, I've finished the book. I chose the book creator app (like the link on the previous post on 30/7/21) because it's easy to use, you can sign up for free and also you can type in your class code your teacher gave you and you're on it, also you can choose the templates for your book like a newspaper or a comic, my book had a few pages and words but I still thought that was good enough to publish in my book library where I wrote all those books about Olympics.

Sport study

Hi bloggers and since Week 1 Term 3, we have been doing our sport study about the 2020 Olympic games, I chose 3X3 basketball because I go to play basketball every Wednesday morning break. We had to make a ULO about our sport we had chosen earlier for our sport study after we had done our sports logo work then we had to choose our favourite sport of the logos. After we have done our sports study, we had to create a diorama about our sport study and our sport we had chosen earlier of the logos.

 The Olympics

Hi bloggers, and we have been learning about the Olympic Games. The Olympic Games were cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and everyone had to stay at their homes so they can't go out to the Olympics.

Our country New Zealand had won the first gold medal on 28/7/21 because the atheletes in the rowing came 1st. When our school watched it and saw them came first, we were so happy that our country won the first gold medal.

We have also been doing some Olympic works. Like our timeline about why the Olympics were disrupted 8 times from the year 1916-2020 so that's 104 years we had to wait. We also made book creator about our Olympian athlete like Usain Bolt (the fastest man). The Olympics started in 23/7/21 and on television, at my home, we had to wait for the opening ceremony at 10:15pm and the opening ceremony was about 1 hour long.

Hi bloggers, and I did prototec, it has stages and other times tables you can work on and when you finish, you can press mark and then you will get your results and your certificate if you press certificate, here is mine at the top, the whole point is to practise to get 100% and press enter onto the next question.

Hi bloggers and we have been doing our Matariki DLO. Matariki is the seven sisters or the seven kites. A story was that Matariki was smashed by a jealous star called Mere.

Sausage sizzle

Hi bloggers and we have been going to the sausage sizzle at bunnings warehouse to help cook the sausages. We also had to fundraise money for the year 6 Mangawhai trip heads.

First we had to set up the sausages, bread and butter so that we could get ready to sell our sausages, it was 8 o clock I helped call out: "sausages get your sausages here". Finally 15 minutes later, our first customers came to buy our sausages, somehow, some people just gave us 20 dollars and didn't buy anything. We were very lucky that we already raised more than 100 dollars and that we only sold 5 sausages so far. Soon, we had sold about more than 100 sausages so far when it was only 9 o clock.

Maths Activities

Hi bloggers, and we have been doing maths activities, and we did times tables for our maths activities.

We did a times tables test which we had to finish in 5 minutes, I fininshed in 2 minutes 49 seconds. Also we had to do a maths worksheet about 4 digit times tables like 9525 X 6 and also decimal times tables, for example: 3.75 X 6. Our strageties was place value 350 X 4 = (300 X 4) + (50 X 4),  trebling and thirding 15 X 18 = 5 X 54, and tidy numbers 101 X 10 = 100 X 10 + 10 , I did it until there was only 1 minute till the lesson was over, after I finished my work, I did prototec basic facts in exactly 1 minute. 

S.T.E.M- Waikowhai student led toolkits.

Hi bloggers and today, we had our Student Led Toolkits but at our school, just all the people from our school. This time, we had to present our Toolkits and my partner was Jeremiah. Our Toolkits was Google Slide Animations.

We told them how to make a animation using Google slides, after we told them we said that it was sandpit time which meant that they had to make an animation, they had a 15 minute bomb timer, after the bomb exploded which meant that it was times up, they showed us our animation. After all the people's animation, we showed them our animations, Jeremiah showed them an among us animation with 1180 slides and was still not finished! I showed them a animation about a stickman running away from jail and distracting the guards and making them fall of the cliff and yelling, I made it with 23 slides but I used animating tools, it was funny.

Again for our second Toolkits it was all the same thing though this time we had to give them 20 minutes because a lot of people struggled at making it and we had to help them. Some people got a lot behind that we had to make it for them instead of doing it themselves. Finally when time was up, they showed us their animations they made and they casted up their animation on the television for all of us to see, some were pretty funny too. Unfortunately, we had no time to show them our animations and time was running out, anyway we had to go to our next Toolkits, I showed them the thank you for comming slide page for about a minute.

Finallly, I went to a different toolkit, it was called Musiclab experiments, which was basically some music experiments we had to do or create, it was very fun and really, you should try it, also at the bottom of the website is some squares and when you press them, they play some notes, you can even hold them for as long as you like, they tell you how Musiclab experiments was created, I tried some of the experiments and when I mean some of the experiments, I meant all of the experiments, I've used Musiclab experiments so I knew the URL of the website, anyway all the presenters came to see how we were going with our experiments, I did a good job making a very cool and nice beat that all the presenters stood next to me for a whole minute.

It was 1 o clock and finally everyone had to go back to their classes, a couple of people felt a little sad. I liked Toolkits, I might want to be a presenter since it was so fun presenting our Toolkits and doing someone elses Toolkits, I thought this was one of the best days at Student Led Toolkits because I liked presenting my own toolkits.

Hi bloggers and on 20/5/21, we went to the Ako Hiko Student Led Toolkits at Owairaka School.

First we went to learn how to use coding on Minecraft. At the last level of coding, we could make our own Minecraft coding game. I made a weird code that the cows followed me and then they went in my house, luckly I trapped them in my house and when it was night, the cows exploded, fzz... BOOM!, as it exploded, it dropped bricks of my house and destroyed, Ha Ha, very funny, although the house was destroyed.

Second we went to know how to use Webcam Toy which we could make our own photos that looked very weird because there were about 81 different selfies, I made my mouth very enormous. I made myself look like a dog with big cheeks and I even made my photo which I was on fire, also there was a photo with snow falling on me, I enjoyed using all of the different and weird template modes, it was fun.

Finally we went to know how to use Incredibox and basically, you need to give the men some clothings which are naked and also you can record your song as you can add some new skins on the men at the same time. You really should try it, it's so fun and especially, after you save your song you can play it in your drive or play it in your files and you can get the link of your song, geez.. Incredibox is so fun.

I had a lot of fun at Ako Hiko student led toolkits, it's fun, because you get to learn how to use new apps and sites.

Spark Arena

Hi bloggers and we went to Spark Arena where it would have been a very expensive trip but we were very lucky to go for free!

First, we went to the Happy Place, and when I came there, "OH MY GOSH", I exclaimed. I saw a empty pool but with around 1000 balls in there. I jumped so high some of the guides had to pull me out, Even the teachers jumped in and almost couldn't get out of the balls. We also went inside the room with a lot of tiny bits of papers. I collected 150 of them and threw them around though 20 got stuck on me on the way, fun!. 

Next, we went inside the place called Sounds Fun and we got to play all of the instruments. I played the drums, at first I wasn't so good but at the end, I got all of the beats and it said: are you a machine? which mean't I got 100% of everything. I also went to play the drumpad as well and there were about a lot of colours and different beats, again I was about average but at the end, I also got very good.

Finally, we got to see the Van Gogh Experience, he drew some beautiful flowers, drew a whole landscape and he even drew a bedroom that looked very realistic. He is now a VERY famous artist from the impressionist movement. Wow, I thought and then we went inside the next room which was dark on the way there, later, we saw a slideshow of all the paintings. To say, these paintings were $150,000,000, will you believe it!. The paintings were also flimed on the ground as we sat on it, I felt like I was dreaming though I wasn't, at the end we were given a packed lunch with apple juice, and then went back on the bus back to school at half past twelve.

It was so fun going to Spark Arena especially the Happy Place, Sounds Fun and also especially the Van Gogh experience about his paintings.

Hi bloggers, we have been swimming at Cameron Pools since week 1. We learn't how to swim freestyle and backstroke, I already knew how to swim. It is also important to know how to swim because we live in a small place near the cape of NZ and 100 people drown a year only by average.

We got inside the pool, it was cold. First, we had to kick on our front and back especially swimming on our sides, even though we had to swim the whole pool once, everybody could do that easily. Next, we had to do it without a board, and we had to swim in a streamline. However, back but they still managed to swim. Finally we could do freestyle and backstroke with our arms, I was OK on my backstroke but I could swim very fast on my freestyle, I actually swam so fast and I also took everybody infront of me. Soon the water was now warm so I stayed inside the water, after we swam, we got out of the pool and got changed as we went back on the bus, going back to our school.

Hi bloggers and on 14/4/21, it was the first time this has happened to me, the most epic day, it was raining and even there were wires around the whole classroom. 

Our 1st subject was that we had to enter no man's land is under the trenches, it's like that we were in war. We did our basic facts test under the trenches, my usual score was 98-100% right, I got 99% right, SO CLOSE!, we had to do ANZAC maths under the trenches, we just had 1 more minute left to do our work!!!, meanwhile we had our fruit break for around 10 minutes. 

Our 2nd subject was that we had to write a letter from the trenches about how we feel under the wires and send the letter to our parents or grandparents. I wrote that it was cold and dry at the area we were fighting in, also we had write a poem about anzac day and the fighting war in Gallipoli. 

Our 3rd subject was that we had to go swimming under the freezing water although it was twenty degrees celsius. I swam and then I just got out of the pool straight away, got changed and went back under the trenches. Next we had to draw 12 pictures while we listened to the story, it was like drawing a comic.

Eventually we had to untie the wires but not only that but we also had to be blindfolded, we both were put into partners and we had to take turns being blindfolded and the other person telling us where to go our what to do, it took us to the count of 1000 till we were finally done, that was an epic day!.

Hi bloggers and last time we have been doing our sea week infographic. We had to do a infographic about petitions against marine reserves. I had to read the infomation on the website and then drop notes on our activities. I had to do some work on another google slide and a google doc, Also I had to do a poster about the infomation of our sea week infographic and write five interesting facts of petitions against marine reserves.

Netball

Hi bloggers and we have been doing netball every wednesday, we have some games and other things, read it.

First we had to play a game of Infinity Tag, everyone was in and we had to tag each other and whoever got tagged is out, if it was a tie, we had to do paper-scissors-rock and whoever lost is out, if the person who tagged you gets tagged, we played and I survived the whole time without even getting out or even tagged. Next we did some warmups then we practised shooting into the hoops and especially dodging other people when they tried to pass over other people. Then we did a practise on a game we were going to play afterwards, it was called the golden child. Finally we played Golden child one team had to get the ball in the hoop and one had to run, the golden child was important. First we had to run before they got the ball in the hoop. A lot-of-people got caught but not me, eventually we won. Next we had to switch places, we didn't stop anybody but only a few runners, soon we had to stop the Golden child, until then just about close to the end, we scored the goal!!!, that was a good game.

Hi bloggers and during week 8, we have been doing our poetry slam and I chose to do my bio poem, it took me about a week to finish, I hope you like it. We had to do a template then we had to write it all on a google drawing. 

Family fun day

 Family fun day

Hi bloggers and on the 19th of March, we had family fun day, this is going to be one of the best days of the year because last night, I couldn't sleep, view this blog.

Our 1st event was the water slide and the swimming pool, I went on the water slide and slid slowly on my first and second or my third attempt but my forth attempt, I slid like a jet-at-top-speed, eventually it was my fifth event and I was the last one, I ran and slid so fast that I thought I slid the fastest among everyone, so fast that I reached the pillows and pushed it 1.5 meters away from me. After that we had a swim for 10 minutes, in-fact we could just play around whatever all of us liked to!!!. Our 2nd and 3rd event was the-bouncy-castle, I only played it for a few moments then I got a little bored and just standing around. Our final event was the wheels zone, we could play on the bikes and scooters or even our own wheels, I borrow a bike with 5 or 6 gears it was my first time easily riding our bikes, usually normal bikes are hard to use but bikes with gears can release the gear softer on the-very-long-grass, at the end, it was time to go back home but however, it was one-of-the-best-days.
